This is a philosophy...
a union of
personal
philosophies.
Mission:
Introspective Truth is an Indiana University student organization whose purpose is to build an understanding of our own and others conscious experiences of reality.
To accomplish this goal we must first independently, non-traditionally search for the truth. Through this search we reach conclusions that correspond to conclusions found in science, religion, philosophy and especially each other through our own communication.
If it helps, think of Introspective Truth as "The Intersubjective Phenomena Club"
What's new?Currently, Introspective Truth is reforming the structure of the organization around a single novel concept and event called a relate. Simply put, a relate is the antonym of a debate. Whereas debaters are competetive, relaters are cooperative. In this format, students interested in checking out Introspective Truth can do so without being pressured into participation, and can ask questions to relaters freely. Relaters themselves are to be IU faculty, or other men and women of Bloomington. The main idea is to correlate the perspectives of relaters in order to paint the clearest possible picture of the truth. Although topics of relates could come in a wide variety, Introspective Truth is interested in relating enlightening experiences. An enlightening experience may involve an intense emotional insight that could be described in many different ways from supersensory to prophetic.
Perhaps the most dramatic experience a person can have, is the initial emotional insight that progresses their life in a direction of curiosity and wonder. Those may be the easiest stories to tell, however the most interesting may be the higher levels of insight reached down the path that the initial experience took them.

By independently searching for the truth, we come together. We are comprised of the same fabric of reality which we can all potentially perceive within ourselves. The "fabric" is also like a puzzle, we must see how these pieces of the puzzle fit together to see what picture the puzzle gives us. After discovering a piece, it is always fun to go online to see what other passionate person has discovered it too.
There is so much to know, so get excited!
~ these are introspective truths ~
"If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things." -Descartes
"Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense." -Buddha
"How should we fast? In what manner should we pray? How should our alms be given? What dietary law should we observe?" Jesus said, "I will instruct you in all these matters, but first you must put off your love of the lie, the false way of life followed by the children of this plane of existence, and be converted, changed so that you hate that which you have previously loved, and love that which you have previously hated. Then I will be able to show you all things, for there is nothing hidden which will not be manifested when you have put on the mind of Truth."
"The person who experiences the unity of life sees his own Self in all beings" -Buddha
"The person who knows his own self knows God." -Muhammad
"The person who stands alone will be with God... ...God is within you, learn yourself and you will know God and I" -Jesus
Introspection reveals truth
"We stand on the brink of a revolution in consciousness that has the power to change our world"
We base personality off of behavior, the more we realize our behavior doesn't describe who we really are, then we will understand that we are all really the same. Love = the two personalities of two people being dissolved into the realization of the whole.
